Ruthin Castle's wood panelled entrance hall is warmly lit and several of the inner rooms have the added warmth of beautifully carved stone and wood fireplaces with open fires that make them cosy despite their scale.
Original oil paintings line the Inner Hallway and are to be found in several of the public rooms.
The castle has a proud, centuries-old tradition of providing hospitality and comfort including hosting numerous Royal guests. It is difficult not just to feel welcome but also to feel part of the great history of the castle and those that have come before.
Many of the 62 bedrooms are comfortably large and each has its own individual personality. Most rooms enjoy views over the 30 acres of gardens, parkland and woods of the estate and towards the surrounding Welsh mountains (at times snow-capped in Winter). All bedrooms are within the main buildings and upper floors are served by lift.
Many rooms have four-poster beds and original fireplaces (currently not in use) and most have original antique pieces of furniture. A small number of family rooms and suites are available.
